freshman year reflection

before i came to highschool i was a normal kid doing work sometimes went out on the weekends with my friends, cousins and other family. i still got nice stuff  and i was a little cocky. but my relationship with my parents was good, but in the summer i was traveling a lot and barely saw them. during school i was on time it really wasn't nobody to impress so i just went to school got work and went home i did have my friends and stuff in school and out of school but we wasnt together like every day. but now as i got into highschool when i go home i either go to sleep, go outside or go straight to my room start texting and calling people. i have become more cocky  in high-school ive met a lot of new people and got alot of new stuff this year also just to show off because i could i go more places with people almost every day with the school transpass i traveled more there were a couple girls i like and impressed. i also got a twitter and i just got one in highschool but while i have been cocky and trying to impress people my grades have went down i seen a negative change in me my grades lowered my cockiness went up and i have been getting into trouble. i think the change was a bad change but i have been getting better i have been improving been getting my work done and everything has been going well but overall i learned alot of things this year and had a lot of fun and i cant wait until sophmore year. i think next year the freshmans are going to have it harder than us good luck!

career day

last thursday we had a career day and we had many different people with different careers come in to tell us about different things we could do in life and also what they did for a living. Some of the guess speakers that came for career day told us how much money they made and even offered us money to answer very intelligent questions that would help us in life. Career day was very helping and it gave some people ideas of what they want to be when they graduated high-school which was very great and useable too I think. One of the guess speakers that came was miss singleton who was an attorney at law which is what I want to be she came and told what she did as an attorney how she helped young people get out of trouble and had families mediate certain situations to solve different problems lawyers generally make 112,000$ a year. The next person that came was mr. haggler who  was a commercial bank he talked to us about how we should think about getting and making our own business and being good cititzen and how to make a lot of money. The last person that came was mr.hannible who was his own boss and owned his own tax business and made six figures and didn’t even graduate highschool but he did make money so he could do the right thing with his life. But any way career day was fun educational and informing and it gave me and im sure others a lot to think about.

afghan girls, scarred by acid, defy terror, embracing school

in "afghan girls, scarred by acid, defy terror, embracing school" dexter filkins author of the article explains how an afghan girl was walking to school with a friend and a man came up to her and sprayed her face with acid which burned her badly and many other problems of afghanistan and the problems and situations around afghan schools. the article includes quotes from the headmaster of the school as well as students and also the afghanistan president. filkins also includes data about how many women go to the schools and live around the area. one fact that stood out was 15 women were badly burned in the acid attack that happened and that many people did not returns to school for wekks so it must be a big problem. i think that the acid attack was wrong, and that school administrators and goverment leaders need to do more to prevent it. i think part of the problem is that there is not many people watching these girls or escorting them to school. many people can get hurt and there wont be people around to help them so there should be cops or guards or something like that. this article reminded me of a movie called white wash where an african american boy and his sister are walking to school and are attacked by a white street gang and the gang beat up the boy and they spray painted his sister's face then the gang runs away the girl and her brother then run home and the girl hides in her room and doesn't go to school for a couple of days her grandmother and class mates make her feel better then she returns to school. this article makes me wonder why people can be so cruel and why why they do the horrible things they do. i am a teenager and i see mean things that people do to other people almost everyday and it really needs to stop and it shouldnt go on any more because it is wrong and it hurts alot of people so it really needs to stop if its happening in america or even if its happening in afghanistan it needs to stop evertywhere!

basketball thing got ugly when the temple owls lost

the article is called "Things got ugly and stayed there for Owls in loss" the writer of the article is Bob Ford, Inquirer Sports Columnist the article mainly forces on temples season of promises and low provided comedy and how they lost the game 58-44 to university of south florida team. every display of offense was unexpected in this game was said. this is what bob ford explained, "By comparison, the Bulls were nearly dead in the water a month ago, with a 13-10 record after a 30-point loss at Georgetown. Faced with early elimination from tournament consideration, South Florida put all of its emphasis at the defensive end of the court and was on an 8-3 run entering the game."
ok there defense might have sucked while they were playing bt what was the point of getting mad or antsy or mad because they lost a game there would be other games to play i guess because this is the play offs but how they acted if i was a journalist this would be a big story because that was just unacceptable and it was not right even if they lost a couple of the play off the name of the article was right things really did get ugly this reminds me of when i was in the 8th grade and my schools track team was running and anothers teams runner triped run of our teammates on purpose and they got disqualified i wonder why they would act like that.

Alleged pimp to face trial in Downtowners hooker raid

the title of the article is just one part of the story the article was written by mensah m. dean a writter for the philadelphia inquirer. she wrote about a man named lawerence promoting prostitution in a south philly mummers clubhouse. the man name is lawerence crovetti and he was promoting prostitutes in a mummers clubhouse then the police came in and raided the place and arrested many people including crovetti and the prostitutes. two police officers testified thay they were undercover and propositioned for sex by 10 women in the mummers club house on 2nd & snyder ave. crovetties atorney said he was not guilty and would fight the charges. judge teresa carr deni made the ruling after the 2 undercover police testified. this is what crovettis attorney had to say, "he is not guilty of anything. he absolutly had nothing to do with prostitution. he did not profit at all from prostitution he did not promote it, he did not authorize it, he didnt direct it." well i think crovetti is guilty. he should be charged because if he didnt promote the prostitution or didnt want anything to do with it he would have kicked the prostitutes out of the club or wouldnt have been there while it was going on. he must have wanted must've wanted intercourse from the dirty prostitutes or profit from sales the prostitutes were making. but if he didnt want to get caught why did they do it in the mummers club? this reminds me of when my cousin locked me outside and and van of undercover cops pulled out and raided a van. this article makes me think about how money hungry people can be. it made me ask myself why people do stuff like this

many kids born outside of marriage to women under 30

there is an article called For Women Under 30, Most Births Occur Outside Marriage that is about  women who have babies at a young age under the age of 30 written by jason deparle and sabrina tavernise its about single women  who have babies under the age of 30 that are not in a relationship. in the article it says more than half of births from american women under 30 occur outside marriage. most of those women are minorities black, or latin american.
one lady was 27  in a on and off relationship  when she found out she was pregnant and her babies dad was a sears clerk and was not ready to get married and have a full term family so she is one of the people  that will be under 30 i think there is alot of people that are born outside of marriage i dont think it is a bad thing well why should it be all people do not want o get married so if they dont want to get married  yeah kids are going to be born outside of marriage and  and if people  want to have sex young that might lead to the birth of child and who you decide to have a baby with and when you want to have a baby is your  choice but i also think that it is nothing wrong with having sex while your not married or having a baby if your not marrried bacause some mother are independent enough to take care of there selves  and there kids or babies on there own

thats just nasty women gets jail time for having sex with teens -__-

this is crazy a article in the philadelphia inquirer there is article about a 37 year old women who had sex with her sons teenage football teammates and the whole thing was planned on facebook one boy was 17 and the other boy was 15. The whole thing started on facebook were the mom had planned to have sex with the 17 year old boy but he brought the 15 year old with him so they could have a threesome with the 37 year old women. in the article it said that the mom was convicted to 23 months in prison and 4 years prohbation. at first she was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years but her lawyer said she was bipolar and gave her 9 to 23 months and 4 years probation. the messed up thing is that the 17 year old boy reported jennie lee the 37 year old women to the police. i dont know why he would report her to the law he wanted to have sex with her even worse a threesome so what was the point of reporting her to the police department. jennie the 37 year old women is to old to have sex with teenagers she is nasty for that one and she panned it on facebook shouldnt she be to occupied with work to be planning her sex life from facebook before reading this article i thought it was about this lady getting raped by  a flashmob of teen boys but after i read this articles mouths dropped. they could easily solve this situation by taken all her electronic devices and internet from her when she gets out of prison. this reminds me of something from law and order where the teen was having sex with his teacher but he wanted people to think he was getting raped by her the boys in this situation werent raped they agreed and planned to have sexual intercourse with this women and should be at fault also this article help me figure out the differnce between rape and planned agreed to sexual intercourse people these days are crazy or just do stupid things. i wonder why people do such things. maybe i could look on google tosee why people do the things they do like the two boys and jennie lee.
