freshman year reflection
before i came to highschool i was a normal kid doing work sometimes went out on the weekends with my friends, cousins and other family. i still got nice stuff and i was a little cocky. but my relationship with my parents was good, but in the summer i was traveling a lot and barely saw them. during school i was on time it really wasn't nobody to impress so i just went to school got work and went home i did have my friends and stuff in school and out of school but we wasnt together like every day. but now as i got into highschool when i go home i either go to sleep, go outside or go straight to my room start texting and calling people. i have become more cocky in high-school ive met a lot of new people and got alot of new stuff this year also just to show off because i could i go more places with people almost every day with the school transpass i traveled more there were a couple girls i like and impressed. i also got a twitter and i just got one in highschool but while i have been cocky and trying to impress people my grades have went down i seen a negative change in me my grades lowered my cockiness went up and i have been getting into trouble. i think the change was a bad change but i have been getting better i have been improving been getting my work done and everything has been going well but overall i learned alot of things this year and had a lot of fun and i cant wait until sophmore year. i think next year the freshmans are going to have it harder than us good luck!

career day
last thursday we had a career day and we had many different people with
different careers come in to tell us about different things we could do in life
and also what they did for a living. Some of the guess speakers that came for
career day told us how much money they made and even offered us money to answer
very intelligent questions that would help us in life. Career day was very
helping and it gave some people ideas of what they want to be when they
graduated high-school which was very great and useable too I think. One of the
guess speakers that came was miss singleton who was an attorney at law which is
what I want to be she came and told what she did as an attorney how she helped
young people get out of trouble and had families mediate certain situations to
solve different problems lawyers generally make 112,000$ a year. The next
person that came was mr. haggler who
was a commercial bank he talked to us about how we should think about
getting and making our own business and being good cititzen and how to make a
lot of money. The last person that came was mr.hannible who was his own boss
and owned his own tax business and made six figures and didn’t even graduate
highschool but he did make money so he could do the right thing with his life.
But any way career day was fun educational and informing and it gave me and im
sure others a lot to think about.

afghan girls, scarred by acid, defy terror, embracing school
in "afghan girls, scarred by acid, defy terror, embracing school" dexter filkins author of the article explains how an afghan girl was walking to school with a friend and a man came up to her and sprayed her face with acid which burned her badly and many other problems of afghanistan and the problems and situations around afghan schools. the article includes quotes from the headmaster of the school as well as students and also the afghanistan president. filkins also includes data about how many women go to the schools and live around the area. one fact that stood out was 15 women were badly burned in the acid attack that happened and that many people did not returns to school for wekks so it must be a big problem. i think that the acid attack was wrong, and that school administrators and goverment leaders need to do more to prevent it. i think part of the problem is that there is not many people watching these girls or escorting them to school. many people can get hurt and there wont be people around to help them so there should be cops or guards or something like that. this article reminded me of a movie called white wash where an african american boy and his sister are walking to school and are attacked by a white street gang and the gang beat up the boy and they spray painted his sister's face then the gang runs away the girl and her brother then run home and the girl hides in her room and doesn't go to school for a couple of days her grandmother and class mates make her feel better then she returns to school. this article makes me wonder why people can be so cruel and why why they do the horrible things they do. i am a teenager and i see mean things that people do to other people almost everyday and it really needs to stop and it shouldnt go on any more because it is wrong and it hurts alot of people so it really needs to stop if its happening in america or even if its happening in afghanistan it needs to stop evertywhere!

basketball thing got ugly when the temple owls lost
the article is called "Things got ugly and stayed there for Owls in loss" the writer of the article is Bob Ford, Inquirer Sports Columnist the article mainly forces on temples season of promises and low provided comedy and how they lost the game 58-44 to university of south florida team. every display of offense was unexpected in this game was said. this is what bob ford explained, "By comparison, the Bulls were nearly dead in the water a month ago, with a 13-10 record after a 30-point loss at Georgetown. Faced with early elimination from tournament consideration, South Florida put all of its emphasis at the defensive end of the court and was on an 8-3 run entering the game."
ok there defense might have sucked while they were playing bt what was the point of getting mad or antsy or mad because they lost a game there would be other games to play i guess because this is the play offs but how they acted if i was a journalist this would be a big story because that was just unacceptable and it was not right even if they lost a couple of the play off the name of the article was right things really did get ugly this reminds me of when i was in the 8th grade and my schools track team was running and anothers teams runner triped run of our teammates on purpose and they got disqualified i wonder why they would act like that.

Alleged pimp to face trial in Downtowners hooker raid
the title of the article is just one part of the story the article was written by mensah m. dean a writter for the philadelphia inquirer. she wrote about a man named lawerence promoting prostitution in a south philly mummers clubhouse. the man name is lawerence crovetti and he was promoting prostitutes in a mummers clubhouse then the police came in and raided the place and arrested many people including crovetti and the prostitutes. two police officers testified thay they were undercover and propositioned for sex by 10 women in the mummers club house on 2nd & snyder ave. crovetties atorney said he was not guilty and would fight the charges. judge teresa carr deni made the ruling after the 2 undercover police testified. this is what crovettis attorney had to say, "he is not guilty of anything. he absolutly had nothing to do with prostitution. he did not profit at all from prostitution he did not promote it, he did not authorize it, he didnt direct it." well i think crovetti is guilty. he should be charged because if he didnt promote the prostitution or didnt want anything to do with it he would have kicked the prostitutes out of the club or wouldnt have been there while it was going on. he must have wanted must've wanted intercourse from the dirty prostitutes or profit from sales the prostitutes were making. but if he didnt want to get caught why did they do it in the mummers club? this reminds me of when my cousin locked me outside and and van of undercover cops pulled out and raided a van. this article makes me think about how money hungry people can be. it made me ask myself why people do stuff like this

many kids born outside of marriage to women under 30
there is an article called For Women Under 30, Most Births Occur Outside Marriage that is about women who have babies at a young age under the age of 30 written by jason deparle and sabrina tavernise its about single women who have babies under the age of 30 that are not in a relationship. in the article it says more than half of births from american women under 30 occur outside marriage. most of those women are minorities black, or latin american.
one lady was 27 in a on and off relationship when she found out she was pregnant and her babies dad was a sears clerk and was not ready to get married and have a full term family so she is one of the people that will be under 30 i think there is alot of people that are born outside of marriage i dont think it is a bad thing well why should it be all people do not want o get married so if they dont want to get married yeah kids are going to be born outside of marriage and and if people want to have sex young that might lead to the birth of child and who you decide to have a baby with and when you want to have a baby is your choice but i also think that it is nothing wrong with having sex while your not married or having a baby if your not marrried bacause some mother are independent enough to take care of there selves and there kids or babies on there own

thats just nasty women gets jail time for having sex with teens -__-
this is crazy a article in the philadelphia inquirer there is article about a 37 year old women who had sex with her sons teenage football teammates and the whole thing was planned on facebook one boy was 17 and the other boy was 15. The whole thing started on facebook were the mom had planned to have sex with the 17 year old boy but he brought the 15 year old with him so they could have a threesome with the 37 year old women. in the article it said that the mom was convicted to 23 months in prison and 4 years prohbation. at first she was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years but her lawyer said she was bipolar and gave her 9 to 23 months and 4 years probation. the messed up thing is that the 17 year old boy reported jennie lee the 37 year old women to the police. i dont know why he would report her to the law he wanted to have sex with her even worse a threesome so what was the point of reporting her to the police department. jennie the 37 year old women is to old to have sex with teenagers she is nasty for that one and she panned it on facebook shouldnt she be to occupied with work to be planning her sex life from facebook before reading this article i thought it was about this lady getting raped by a flashmob of teen boys but after i read this articles mouths dropped. they could easily solve this situation by taken all her electronic devices and internet from her when she gets out of prison. this reminds me of something from law and order where the teen was having sex with his teacher but he wanted people to think he was getting raped by her the boys in this situation werent raped they agreed and planned to have sexual intercourse with this women and should be at fault also this article help me figure out the differnce between rape and planned agreed to sexual intercourse people these days are crazy or just do stupid things. i wonder why people do such things. maybe i could look on google tosee why people do the things they do like the two boys and jennie lee.

whats up with all these flash mobs
have you been watching the news or listening to the radio or on facebook or twitter hearing about flashmobbers here or there and attacking this person and that person whats up with that. its not a new thing it calmed down for a little bit, but about 7 years ago was flashmobbing was known as people linking or hooking up on sites i guess like myspace and facebook because i dont think twitter was created back then to do a group activity to get peoples attention in public places but thats not really the case any more. Now flash mobs are just stupid and dumb i think jut go to the movies or something yall just giving philly teens a bad name. the article in the new york times says, "flashmaobs have become agressive and dangerous because of hundreds of teens brawling each others vandalizing property and assaulting people." thats just drawn. the mayor of philadelphia said, "flash mobs are bad decisions by groups of young adults who do silly, stupid, and harming stuff which will be taking care of immediately which reaally it has not been because you still hear about it on facebook and twitter its just not on the new. it has calm down a little bit was it still goes on. do i think flash mobbing is a bad idea? yes because its stupid and its gives philadelphia kids a bad name and it gets them in trouble and maks our cerfew worse. some people think it has to do with inrichment programs and camps and other thing have something to do with the flashmobbs i dont think it does because most flashmobbs happened on weekends and during evening hours most of those programs are from monday through friday 7am-7pm but anyway the flashmobs need to stop asap.

am i a criminal
ok i dont think your a criminal just because you smoked pot or weed or drunk one or two drinks then drove or went over the speed limit thats just well not stupid but over the top. many people have broken laws but i dont think that makes them criminals. as the article said even president barrack obama used illegal drugs and alot in his college days other president probably did to and are just scared to admit they did. i know we have laws but but they need to be more specific because people do and are going to make mistakes but that doesnt make them a criminal. and another thing in the article it said criminals mostley come from ghettos criminals can come from any where from rural communities urban communties and also surburban communities not just ghettos i thin they are taking these laws to far because little things like speedind should not clssify you as a criminal ok sometimes you may over due it so they give you tickets or something f your caught smoking pot or had a couple drinks and drove u should just get a warning first before you are classified as a criminal.
all of this needs to change now because its going to far
also what is the difference between us and other criminals
we also do stuff we just dont get caught maybe they need better law inforcement

photoshopped or not whats up with that
have you ever heard about the tool photoshop well some people think some celebrities or models may use photobooth on their photo to get rid of any problems like wrinkles, body weight, freckles, blemishes, or any other problems thats they dont like about the picture which can be changes with literally a couple of clicks
i like the photoshop application but i dont see what wrong with celebrities using the app to change the appearennce of their pictures i guess because people are mad because people think celebrities should show how they really look but whats the big deal of them using photoshop when they have make up artist but i dont really know the big deal. this is from the article in the new york times"Dr. Farid and Eric Kee, a Ph.D. student in computer science at Dartmouth, are proposing a software tool for measuring how much fashion and beauty photos have been altered, a 1-to-5 scale that distinguishes the infinitesimal from the fantastic. Their research is being published this week in a scholarly journal, The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences."
so im guessing they are just creating a new photoshop and updating it to to make it better so more people will use it once they see how it works with celebrities and more people will buy the softwair because i heard photoshop is kind of expensive. the program that Dr. farid is making will help show people when they get photoshop and use it their program will show how much the photo was altered from a 1-5 scale.
i dont think it should be a scale because who cares how altered it is as long as the picture looks nice

in china human cost are built into an ipad
in the article "in china human cost are built into an ipad" they talk about young lai xiadong a young man who goes to work in an ipad factory where the the employees are working long shifts standing on there feet all day with little pay and many safety hazards to the building that they are working inside of.lai xaidong was only there a couple of days then boom there was an explosion in the building where he worked 2 people were killed imediatley and over a dozen others were hurt one was lai xiadong who's
face was blown off after the explosion, he died two days later. thats sad because that could have been prevented. that whole thing could have been prevented if the safety percautions at the factory were taken more seriously and if people protested about there working conditions and had gotten them changed then i think none of the explosions would have happened. one because of nasty working conditions and dirty factories if that was changed i believe none of that would have happened because in the article tey said was cause the explosion was aluminum dust which if it was cleaned up would there have been an explosion i really dont think so.i believe that not just factories in asia but her in the u.s.a too should have better working conditions, safer environments, and cleaners factories which probably results in less drama and safer people.

grandmom and grandson dancing to rack city
this video was all over the news, facebook, twitter and social media websites you would think it was something big like the death or murder of someone face but it was just a video of his grandmom dancing to the hiphop song rack city by young money artist tyga. this video has been on facebook for about a month now and it still gets hundreds of hits every day the video already has 9 million views on youtube already.
the boys name is frank trimboli and he has a really strong connection with his grandmother in fact she is very funny and has a lot of so called great dance moves if you watch the video which the link for it will be posted down below for the video the boy and his grandmom which he calls newna i guess it's just originated from the word nana. frank and newna have made there way to faceook, abc news, and even the huffington post which i think is kinda cool for a boy and his dancing grandma but speaking of huffington post here is what they had to say about young frank and his grandmom or as he calls his wonderful very very awesome newna
"When YouTuber franktwitchy decided to make a lipdub of Tyga's song "Rack City," he must have picked up on the trend of videos of cool grandmothers going viral lately, because he enlisted the help of his own grandmother in the process.
While video girls may get a bad rap for usually being scantily clad and dancing inappropriately, I think we can all agree that Frank's grandma keeps things tasteful and has more than enough attitude for the two of them."

biggest story of 2011
i think the biggest story of 2011 was the death of osama bin laden osama bin laden was a terrerist who had parts to do with the 9/11 attack and the war in afghanistan when news fled out about his death many people were happy, relieved and they were filled with joy especially mothers and father and family members of people injured or killed in the war in afghanistan or the 9/11 attack here is what abc news had to say
"he president called the killing of bin Laden the "most significant achievement to date" in the effort to defeat al Qaeda." "ustice has been done," Obama said.
Bin Laden was located at a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, which was monitored and when the time was determined to be right, the president said, he authorized a "targeted operation."
"A small team of Americans carried out the operation," Obama said. "After a firefight, they killed osama took cstody of his body." if that it not th tory of the decade i dont know what is osama bin laden wasa very ba person and whatever he got he deserved because he caused alot of harm violence and reck to parts of this world now only if the war in afghanistan was over.

celebrity beefs and arguements
there has been and still is alot of celebrity beefs and arguements that have happened and are happening now i think the celebrity beefs are funny and amusing but sometimes stupid one beef was pop singer who alot of people listen to rihanna vs multi billionaire donald trump the whole beef started when trump booked singer rihanna to sing at one of his hotels and she never showed this is what website and news site said "As we mentioned yesterday, Donald Trump was NOT pleased when rihanna had to cancel a performance at his private Palm Beach club Mar-a-Lago at the last minute.
Trump dissed rihanna for canceling on him and then still performing at the NBA All-Star game the next day" after donald trump dissed rihanna this is what her manager had to say“Rihanna was recovering from bronchitis and her doctor advised her not to get on a plane as she would risk losing her voice and damaging her vocal chords. She feels terribly she couldn’t attend but was so grateful jennifer hudson graciously stepped in."
another celebrity beef was Nicki Minaj and lil Kim gossip and news website hot 97 had this to say on the story
"the first time Minaj explicitly addressed the feud was in November when she attended a radio interview with rapper and radio host Angie Martinez - who herself collaborated on Lil Kim's "Not Tonight" in 1996. Minaj for example said: "when I see your name on Billboard I’ll respond to you" Also Minaj claimed Foxy Brown told Minaj about Lil Kim not liking Minaj in 2009. Brown denied that through twitter".

Abercrombie & fitch not for certain people
there was a recant article i saw about Abercrombie & Fitch telling jersey shore cast member mike not to wear there clothing because he was a bad influence on there clothes mike is a guy on jersey shore who spreads rumors fights and gets into alot of arguements but that doesnt mean a clothing brand can tell him what to war and what not to wear. this was on the news the other day so i thought i would bring it back up.
the story from tmz says that "Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is being sued by a clothing company in a deal apparently gone awry. The company, Serious Pimp -- seriously! -- contends that Sorrentino was paid a $25,000 in advance to wear its T-shirts on "Jersey Shore" and had the right to approve or reject designs, but never did so. A representative for Sorrentino says all terms of the contract were completed. Of course, Sorrentino has his own lawsuit against Abercrombie & Fitch, which tried to pay him not to wear their clothes, saying the company misappropriated some of his singular phrases". Another article i read said that abercrombie & Fitch was rascist because all of their employees were white which is not true because i got to the store almost every sunday and the employees are each of a different race. so some rumors our not all true but im still going to wear that brand and alot of other people are going to wear it too i guess.

birth control, plan B
my opinion on birth control is that is a good idea because teens are going to do what they want to do in this world and parent's are at work or at school and kids and teens are left unattended and can venture outside and parent arent around kids are going to do what they want to do if you want to believe it or not it may be a shame but to some but its life.
Some teens do a sexual lives which can cause pregnancy and to stop the pregnancy by using birth control
and a pill that terminates pregnancy the next day or so which can also be called the morning after pill which most people call it can terminate a pregnancy the day after u have sexual intercourse but some people think birth control is a bad idea for instance rick santorum, santorum is explicit that birth control is "not okay" and that state governments should have the right to make it illegal" santorum says other people like myself think it is ok
that the morning after pill or plan b as you can also call it should not be illegal but should be used in the correct way or manner
the morning after pill as to say is not a birth control pill but a pill to terminate a pregnancy up to 3 days after sexual intercourse which is a very good idea just incase you want to keep your pregnancy its always your choice

cartoons that went off air that we still love to watch
There are alot of cartoons from when we were younger that were either cut off or does not run on tv any more which is sad. Many people loved and cherished those shows it's a shame they dont come on any more. my 2nd favorite was hey arnold hey arnold was a football head shaped boy who live in a city full of minor and major drama but with him and his family and friends they could over come alot of things.
3rd favorite was angry beavers angry beavers was a tv show about two dim whited beavers that live in the forest on a lake that could talk they were very funny and had alot of adventures.
but my favorite cartoon was rugrats that show ran from 1991 to 2004 its was a funny adventurous cartoon that many people loved and still talk about its was about these babies who talk and who misunderstood their parents which led them on adventures which had made them have alot of fun there last episode which led up to a new series about them was about them eating a big birthday cake which was in the closet where they fell asleep and dreamed about how it would be to be older which led up to the series all grown up in which the same characters from rugrats but they just grew up. and another good show that many people loved was rockos modern life which is a show about a talking kangaroo but when the second season came out wnct news reporters were the first on it they said "It boasted the likes of Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arnold!, The Wild Thornberrys, and Rocko's Modern Life. but my favorite cartoon was rugrats that show ran from 1991 to 2004 its was a funny adventurous cartoon that many people loved and still talk about its was about these babies who talk and who misunderstood their parents which led them on adventures which had made them have alot of fun there last episode which led up to a new series about them was about them eating a big birthday cake which was in the closet where they fell asleep and dreamed about how it would be to be older which led up to the series all grown up in which the same characters from rugrats but they just grew up. and another good show that many people loved was rockos modern life which is a show about a talking kangaroo but when the second season came out wnct news reporters were the first on it they said "It boasted the likes of Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arnold!, The Wild Thornberrys, and Rocko's Modern Life.
